My name is Ernests Ivanovs, and I’m delighted you’ve stopped by my corner of the internet.
I am someone who is deeply passionate about people, connection, and making the world a kinder, more thoughtful place.
For many years, my journey was rooted in Christian ministry, which taught me the profound value of listening, guiding, and building community. While I spent years leading congregations and working as an ethical adviser, my heart has always been dedicated to social action and human rights—especially advocating for marginalised voices in Eastern Europe.
I love being a bridge between people and cultures. Whether I’m translating a complex idea from Polish to English, helping someone settle into a new country (I spent years assisting international employees with their relocation to Riga!), or just diving into a great book on philosophy or Jewish history, I thrive on learning and understanding different perspectives.
Essentially, I am a lifelong learner, a communicator, and a quiet advocate for peace. I am associated as a registered friend with Dutch Mennonite Congregation of IJmond and a proud member of the International Association for Religious Freedom.
